The use of cookies on the AHOUFE platform is governed by the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana and by the recommendations of the Data Protection Commission regarding online tracers.

3. Essential cookies (always active)

These cookies are essential for the functioning of the platform. They cannot be disabled:

  • Authentication: maintaining the user session (Firebase Auth)
  • Security: protection against CSRF attacks, session tokens
  • Preferences: language choice, display mode
  • Cookie banner: storing your choices

4. Analytics cookies (consent required)

These cookies allow us to measure the audience of the platform anonymously to improve the service. They are only placed after obtaining your explicit consent:

  • Audience measurement: number of visits, most viewed pages, user journey
  • Performance: load times, errors encountered

5. Marketing cookies

AHOUFE does not currently use any advertising or third-party tracking cookies. No third-party tracker for advertising targeting purposes is placed on your device.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the consent banner or via your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Disabling essential cookies may prevent some features from functioning correctly.

7. Retention period

The cookies used by AHOUFE have the following lifetimes:

  • Session cookies: deleted when the browser is closed
  • Consent cookies: 6 months maximum
  • Analytics cookies: 13 months maximum
