Terms of Sale

Last updated: 14 April 2026

This document is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Please consult a qualified legal professional for legal guidance.

1. Scope

These Terms of Sale (hereinafter "Terms") govern the booking and, where applicable, the payment of beauty services offered by AHOUFE's partner salons in Ghana. They apply to any booking made by a customer through the platform and complement the Terms of Service.

2. Identification of the seller

The service contract is concluded directly between the customer and the partner salon performing the service. The partner salon is the sole seller within the meaning of these Terms. AHOUFE acts solely as a technical intermediary facilitating connection and booking.

3. Description and pricing of services

Each salon publishes on AHOUFE the detailed description of its services, their estimated duration and their price. All prices are displayed in Ghana Cedis (GHS) and include the Value Added Tax (VAT) of 15% applicable in Ghana. Salons commit to honouring the prices displayed at the time of booking. For any additional service not included in the initial booking, prior consent from the customer is required.

4. Booking process

Bookings are made according to the following steps:

  • Selection of the salon, service and available time slot
  • Customer identification (mobile phone number and OTP code)
  • Validation by the partner salon (automatic or manual)
  • Confirmation by SMS and/or push notification
  • Automatic reminders 24h and 2h before the appointment

5. Payment terms

During the launch phase, the AHOUFE service is free for customers: no payment is required at the time of booking. The settlement of the service is made directly with the salon at the end of the appointment. When in-app payments are enabled, they may be processed through:

  • MTN Mobile Money (MTN MoMo) — licensed by the Bank of Ghana
  • Vodafone Cash — licensed by the Bank of Ghana
  • Each transaction will be identified by a unique idempotency key
  • AHOUFE does not charge any visible additional fees on transactions

6. Cancellation and no-show policy

Customer cancellation is free up to 2 hours before the booked time. Beyond that, the salon may apply cancellation fees in accordance with its commercial policy, up to the amount of the service. In the event of a no-show, the salon is free to charge all or part of the service. AHOUFE does not intervene in the recovery of amounts due.

7. Cancellation by the salon

In the event of cancellation initiated by the salon (force majeure, stylist unavailability, exceptional closure), the customer is immediately notified. If a payment has been made online, AHOUFE and the salon will process a full refund within a maximum of 14 days.

8. Complaints and warranties

In the event of dissatisfaction with the service performed, the customer is invited to contact the partner salon concerned as a priority. AHOUFE may facilitate mediation and offers a customer support service at hello@ahoufe.app. Legal warranties applicable to services are those provided by Ghanaian law, including the Sale of Goods Act, 1962 (Act 137) and the Consumer Protection Bill where applicable.

9. Force majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for any failure to perform resulting from a force majeure event as defined by Ghanaian law and applicable case law.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution before any judicial action. Failing this, the dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of Accra.
